I never even thought of trying that. Thank you! Also, I very much dislike red pepper when it is sliced or diced and put on top of or into a dish. However, char roast it on a grill and peel off the char and it is really good. I recently made Avjar which is a Croatian/Bosnian/Serbian topping for sandwiches and other stuff. Roast 3 good sized red peppers and half an eggplant (roast the whole thing for longer on a cooler side of the grill to fully cook it, then cut in half). Add some salt pepper and a couple cloves of minced garlic. Put each in a food processor separately and give it a quick pulse or two. Add a teaspoon or two of white or cider vinegar to highlight the peppers.  Mmmm.

See, I much prefer red peppers for most things. The green ones are all crunch and no flavor. I make my stuffed peppers with reds, and I use them to make a roasted-peppe r-based sauce for my ratatouille.
